Newcastle restaurant to take part in NE1 restaurant week
Having
been open now for three months, Bonbar is going from strength to
strength in all areas. One department that we are particularly proud
of is the food that we serve.
The
aim of our award winning kitchen team is to prepare and serve
homemade, delicious food to a restaurant standard that can be enjoyed
in the relaxed yet sophisticated surroundings of our premium venue.
From
freshly prepared mayonnaise to hand cut vegetable crisps, everything
you taste at Bonbar is made on site by our team of dedicated chefs.
Our most popular dishes include the Bon Burger, which is made from
succulent Aberdeen Angus beef served with fresh tomato, gem lettuce
and gherkins. Our grilled halloumi salad served with warm baby
potatoes, beetroot and dill tzatziki dressing is another favorite as
a lighter alternative.
Sitting just a stones throw from Central Station, we believe our restaurant is a splendid addition to Newcastle’s vibrant city centre foodie scene. A very welcome addition to the menu has been our Sunday lunch offering. This includes a selection of mouthwatering meat and poultry (our personal favorite has got to be the juicy roast Northumbrian sirloin of beef) accompanied by a stack of good old Yorkshires, just like your Gran used to make, proper goose fat roasties and if that wasn’t enough maple roasted root veg, savoy cabbage & pancetta, and mustard mash. And, for Sunday lunch with a contemporary twist we offer our dishes as a sharing board option too, if that tickles your fancy it’s the perfect way to dine with family and friends for sophisticated Sunday social grazing.
If you have not had a chance to sample our delicious freshly made food then make sure you take full advantage of the upcoming Newcastle NE1 Restaurant Week. Running from August 4th until 10th 2014. We have lots to choose from including the popular Bon Burger, proper steak and ale pie and a pretty decent dessert selection including warm chocolate brownies and fruit crumble with custard (all homemade of course). We also introduce our brand new skewers menu that will be available from August. To view our Restaurant Week menu click here.

And, with a fresh summer menu around the corner there are a host of exciting seasonal dishes to look forward to in the coming months.
Bon Appètit!
